Issues and Causes

There is a lack of awareness and knowledge about the richness of marine life in Gujarat. It is therefore important to impart this information and knowledge to potential target audiences using innovative approaches. One such approach the creation of a marine research, conservation and information centre, which can serve as a research, conservation and education facility as well as an infotainment channel. With the growing number of threats to marine life, it is important to preserve and breed unique and endangered species. This centre can also be equipped with such infrastructure so as to enable preservation and breeding of threatened marine species.
